Happy March!!!! Weekly Words!

Happy March to all!!!! March will be getting off to a busy start here in Room 6. The students have begun a new unit of study in Science, Ocean Life. We gathered our prior knowledge and dove right into learning about the amazing creatures of the ocean. Check out our Science window, it is coming together!  Soon the students will be researching an ocean animal of their choice!

We will be taking our field trip to the Shedd Aquarium tomorrow! Everyone is very excited and we can't wait to see all these amazing creatures!

Here are a few pictures of the students working on building their fluency through partner reading.
While reading together, they work hard on their expression, pacing, and reading the story more than once.
This type of practice is enjoyable for the students and really helps to build a more fluent reader.

Enjoy!!!!!
